At First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO), we're committed to creating warm, safe and sustainable homes for our customers. As we continue our journey towards Net Zero, we're looking for a Sustainability and Retrofit Officer to help deliver innovative sustainability projects and improve the energy efficiency of our homes across Oldham. 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering retrofit programmes, securing funding, analysing sustainability data and helping shape the future of our housing stock. 

What you'll be doing 

You'll work closely with colleagues across Asset Strategy, Investment Delivery and external partners to support the successful delivery of sustainability and retrofit programmes. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting the delivery of retrofit and sustainability projects across our homes 
  • Managing and analysing sustainability, energy and performance data 
  • Ensuring compliance with PAS 2035 and relevant funding requirements 
  • Supporting grant funding applications and programme reporting 
  • Monitoring project outcomes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement 
  •  Working with consultants, contractors and retrofit specialists to deliver successful projects 
  • Producing reports and insights to support decision making and performance monitoring 
  • Helping drive progress towards FCHO's sustainability and Net Zero ambitions 

What we're looking for 

We're looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for sustainability and the ability to work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders. 

You'll have: 

  •  Experience analysing and interpreting data and producing reports 
  •  Knowledge of sustainability, energy efficiency or retrofit programmes 
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail 
  •  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently 
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement 

Experience within social housing, asset management, sustainability or a related sector would be advantageous. 

Qualifications such as a Domestic Energy Assessor qualification or Retrofit Coordinator qualification would be beneficial but are not essential.
